Update

New business “champion” for Stapleton Road

Claire Littlejohn is the new Enterprise Worker for the Inner City based on Stapleton Road. She has been working at BEST for over 18 months across the eastside on a variety of environmental improvement and business support projects

Since publishing the Stapleton Road Action Plan in 2003 a lot of work has already been achieved. Recent successes include the development of the Stapleton Road Station Community Garden and the Shop Front Improvement Grant scheme. BEST will also be re-opening the old library building on Trinity Road in July, which will include a new business centre with workspace units to let to local enterprises.

Claire’s new role will be to continue the work BEST have been doing supporting the businesses through information, guidance and signposting, and promoting the area and raising it’s profile.

Claire will continue to be based at 276 Stapleton Road, Easton on Monday’s and Wednesday’s so please drop by or give her a call if you have any questions or issues on 0117 952 5320 / 07830 357109.

Further details on the Trinity Road Library Business Centre can be obtained by ringing Jari Moate on 0117 9166421.

Shopfront Improvements

Scaffolding will be going up on 20+ shops on Stapleton Road. The work on each shop should take less than two months, and you may be inconvenienced – but the street’ll look much better afterwards. As they say – “No pain, no gain”!
